update... to put it mildly

world's longest hiatus.  an apology doesn't even begin to suffice.  ive been lost in faraway place called kid-land and there is very little contact with the outside world there.  i skate by on granola bars and adrenaline scavenged from 6 hours of sleep... it's not pretty but it works... barely.  its an AYSO, fam vacations, orthodondist visits, feeding frenzy, owie kissing, milestone rejoicing whirlind... and im just trying to keep up, stay awake, and hold my food down.  i'm glad to report we are all still alive thank you very much.  taking one day at a time and trusting in God for all the rest.

time to say goodbye

it only took two years of convincing and the good Lord working some major magic... i found myself speedily throwing all of our belonings into boxes in a matter of days and saying some real fastest farewells.  (the things we do for spidey's mom.)  We set up camp at D's mom and dad's and the race was on... viewing available OC rentals with great, great, mucho haste!  our God was leading our every step and we were totally reliant on Him.  He hooked us up with this amazing pad in fountain valley and we are love, love, mucho lovin' life!  we miss you ya good ol' o-town pad... but our new digs suit us juuust right and we can't look back now.  just ahead... our new life is about to begin!

impromptude music video

just another weekday in the summer...

it all started when The Chef offered his typical jacked up rendition of a song he didn't like... this time it was Human by The Killers.  What he didn't know was that he would pave the way for the tribute and music video to the rendition.

On lead guitar: The Gabel... on the ones and twos: Eli-li... (and back up drummer Mister Man)... and on the mic: Magic Mommy.  We had a blast.  More impromptu music videos in our future for sure!

Where is my head...

Let's not even discuss how long it's been since I've been around these parts... sigh... pathetic.
Amid the whirlwind of the kindergarten school year... dun dun dun... (which I took as seriously as grad school for some reason) and jamming our first summer chock full of family activities I pretty much lost my mind and am seriously considering committing myself.  It's been fun, it's been real... it's been a ton of dirty diapers, loads of laundry, piles of dishes, cuts and bruises, teeth found/teeth lost and everything in between... that is fam life.

I now have a 6 year old, a soon to be 3 year old, and a 1 year old.  WOW!

Woosh... there goes another year.

I'll attempt a recap through photos...
All is not lost!

The wheels on this bus may have fallen off but Imma just convert this bad dog into a watercraft!

how time flies

4 mths have flown by... and here I am attempting to make up for lost time.  ...a photo from the hospital the day after Eden was born.  God saw me through another smooth delivery, and we met our first little girl.  with a head full of raven hair, beaming blue eyes, and porcelain skin we deemed you Eden our little Snow White... lovely in every way.  you are an amazing, happy little bundle and we could not be more in love!

prego shoot [round III]

T-Minus 8 Days

this cat rocks

98 year old Dobri Dobrev of Sofia Bulgaria, a man who lost most of his hearing in the second world war, has traveled 25 kilometers every day for decades from his village in his homemade clothes and leather shoes to the city of Sofia - a trip he made by foot until recently - where he spends the day begging for money.

though a well recognized fixture around several of the city’s chruches, known for his prostrations of thanks to all donors, it was only recently discovered that he has donated every penny he has collected — over 40,000 euros — towards the restoration of decaying bulgarian monasteries and churches and the utility bills of orphanages, living entirely off his monthly state pension of 80 euros and the kindness of others.
